Charlotte Field Hockey Club is a non-profit organization designed to promote the growth of field hockey in the Charlotte area. We provide playing opportunities for beginners and experts. Our programs offer advanced coaching and a fun-loving environment! Our coaching staff includes experts in the game of field hockey, field hockey college recruiting, nutrition, and skills experts. We have taken teams to several national field hockey tournaments and help place players in Division I and III field hockey programs each year.
Club Coaches:
Miki Osherow -- Owner/Director
Director of Charlotte Field Hockey Club, Miki Osherow has 13 years coaching experience. She is currently the Varsity Head Field Hockey Coach at Providence Day School and was named the 2010 Coach of the Year. Miki played at Division I Appalachian State where she served as the Captain, points leader and Graduating Senior-Athlete with the highest GPA. Miki grew up playing in Charlotte and Saratoga Springs, NY.
Alex Armas -- Travel Teams U19/U16 Team AMBUSh:
Alex is currently the Varsity Assistant Coach at Providence Day School. He played on the Cuban Men's National Team and is a big asset to the development of our high level players. Alex offers private and semi-private lessons as well as helps to coach our travel teams.
Janelel DeWeiler -- Middle School Club Team - AMBUSH:

Amy Gakenheimer -- Youth and Middle School Clinics and Polar Bear:
Amy has 9 years of coaching experience as the 7th grade coach at Charlotte Country Day School. Amy is an expert at coaching the middle school player and has developed the CCDS 7th grade team into a field hockey powerhouse. Amy played at Division I University of Virgina and returns every summer to help coach their summer field hockey camp.

Dorcas Zeeso -- Youth and Middle School Clinics and U16 Travel Team:
Dorcas has coached at all levels and is known in Charlotte and NC as one of the best and most fun coaches in the state. Dorcas recently was honored by the United States Field Hockey Association as "Coach of the Year" for their Futures program. Dorcas coached for 25 years as the 8th grade coach at Charlotte Country Day and is currently their Varsity Assistant Coach. Dorcas coaches in the USFHA Futures Program and at the Appalachian State Summer Camps.

Youth & Middle School Clinics for 3rd to 8th graders. November - Febrauary and April/May
Polar Bear Scrimmages for 8th graders to adults. November - February.
Select Travel Teams for U16 & U19 athletes. Year-round.
Middle School Competitive Team for 6th to 8th graders. August - October.
